Liz has been a Registered Nurse for over thirty years, working with a wide variety of patients and medical conditions. She also enjoys teaching part time as a clinical nursing instructor. Through her extensive nursing career, Liz has recognized the true value of health and well-being, as well as realized her absolute love of teaching.
Liz began her personal journey towards natural health and healing in 2002, when she discovered yoga as a method to help relieve stress. As she began to establish a regular yoga and meditation practice, she quickly learned that there are many benefits associated with both. Incorporating these practices into her life helped her overcome pain caused by spinal degeneration, remain flexible and strong, maintain an active lifestyle, and manage stress.
In 2014, Liz chose to combine her natural love of teaching and her passion for the varied healing benefits of yoga, and completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training program. She has been teaching yoga ever since and received her E-RYT 200 designation with Yoga Alliance in 2017. Under the guidance of Ann Bibbey, she also completed the Fourth Degree Usui Tibetan Reiki Master/Teacher training as well as received a certification of Reiki Drumming Practitioner in 2016. In addition, she has extensive experience in guiding small and large group cacao ceremonies for a variety of occasions.
Liz incorporates a holistic approach to all of the sessions she guides, using reiki and energy work to help create a personalized healing experience. She understands that our bodies are powered by energy and that when our energy is balanced, we feel healthy. She also has seen and experienced how the practice of yoga is truly accessible to everybody and every body. Through her teaching, she provides a naturally comfortable environment for practitioners of all levels of previous yoga experience to easily and safely access the benefits of yoga. In addition, she is experienced in guiding yoga for people with physical limitations and special needs. Combining her caring nature, her experience in the field of physical and mental health, and her natural intuitive gifts, she now shares yoga, meditation, and energy healing with others through classes, retreats, ceremonies, special events, and small group and private sessions.
